Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Mother Lode Detailing ("we," "us"), a California business, collects through this website and when you contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have.
The short version
- This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking tools.
- The booking form does not send your details to us or to any server. It opens your own texting or email app with a message filled in, and nothing is sent unless you press send.
- We use your information only to respond to you and do the work you ask for.
- We do not sell or share your personal information.
Information we collect
Information you choose to send us
When you text, call, or email us, including by using the booking form, we receive what you include, such as:
- Your name and phone number, and your email address if you email us
- Your vehicle's year, make, and model, and the service you want
- Your town, the days that work for you, and any notes
- Photos of your vehicle, if you attach them
The booking form runs entirely in your browser. When you press "Text my request" or "Email my request," your browser hands a pre-filled message to the texting or email app on your device. We only receive the message if you send it. Your mobile carrier or email provider handles that message under its own privacy policy.
Information collected automatically
- Website hosting logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider, Vercel Inc., automatically records technical details when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the date and time. These logs are used to run and secure the website. See Vercel's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts. This website loads its fonts from Google. To deliver them, your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address and browser information. Google Fonts does not set cookies. See Google's privacy policy.
We do not use cookies, local storage, analytics tools, advertising networks, social media pixels, or session recording on this website.
How we use your information
- To reply to your request, give you a quote, and schedule your service
- To perform the detailing work and follow up about it
- To keep basic business records, such as past jobs and payments
- To comply with the law and protect our rights
We will not send you marketing texts or emails unless you ask to receive them. If you ask us to stop contacting you, we will.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We only disclose it:
- To service providers that make our work possible, such as our phone carrier, email provider, and website host
- If required by law, or to protect our rights, property, or safety
- As part of a sale or transfer of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply
Photos of your vehicle
We will not post photos of your vehicle online without your permission. When we do post work photos, we hide license plates.
How long we keep information
We keep messages and job records for as long as we need them to serve you and keep business records, generally no longer than 3 years after your last service or message, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we have about you
- Correct information that is wrong
- Delete your information
- Stop texting or emailing you
To make a request, email arias.riley@yahoo.com with the subject "Privacy request," or call or text (559) 505-5164. Tell us the name and phone number or email you used with us so we can find your records and confirm the request is from you. We will respond within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

In the past 12 months, we may have collected the following categories of personal information. We collect it from you directly, or automatically when you visit the site, for the purposes described above.

We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by California law, and we do not sell or share personal information, so we do not offer a "Do Not Sell or Share" opt-out. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and add an opt-out first.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. This website does not track visitors across websites, so there is no tracking for these browser signals to turn off.
Children
This website is meant for vehicle owners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
Our website may link to social media pages and other sites we don't control. Their privacy policies apply when you visit them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
